The Southern Soigne experience is an elaborate multi course meal. Settle in for a dining experience featuring the cuisine of Chef Zacchaeus Golden. Using his years of training received in some of America’s top restaurants such as the French Laundry, Inn at Little Washington and Coi. Dinning with us is a journey through a series of superbly executed and deeply delicious dishes. Inspired by generations of recipes and french technique, courses change to reflect product in season. Our menu will constantly be evolving, yet abide by a few simple constants. All our cooking revolves around open wood fire.

Chef's Tasting Menu

  • Ham & cheese sandwich

    Country ham wafers, fresh pimento cheese, caramelized onion.
  • MS sourdough toast

    Mississippi sourdough, avocado, finger lime, pink pepper corn, smoked white fish.
  • Chicken cannoli

    Maple chicken skin cannoli, chick liver mousse.
  • Farro risotto

    Creamy farro risotto, spring vegetables, parmesan, quail yolk.

  • Pork & peas

    Confit english peas, sorghum glaze pork jowl, yellow foot mushrooms, black garlic jus.
  • Grilled flatbread & benne seed hummus

    Grilled flatbread, black tahini hummus, gulf shrimp, mushroom Ragu.
  • Spaghetti and meatballs

    Hand cut spaghetti, house Ragu, wagyu meat balls.
  • 9 hour barbecue pineapple.

The Restaurant

A fine dining experience

Located in the heart of the historic Belhaven Neighborhood, in one half of a beautiful duplex converted into a fine dining event space. The Chef's creations arrive at one of 4 intimate tables as if served by a private Chef. From an award winning wine collection, which includes the finest offerings from Bordeaux, Burgundy, California and Virginia, the Sommelier plays matchmaker between you, your dinner and the wine. We look forward to welcoming you!

The restaurant is divided into two sides. With seating for six guest per side. One side of the restaurant will be offering a weekly changing al a cart menu, featuring southern classics. Available seven days a week with brunch on Sundays. The other side of the restaurant will host a chef’s choice tasting menu experience ranging from seven to thirteen courses being served Thursday - Saturday.
